Meet Rock Hudson

Rock Hudson - Structural Integration Practitioner and Movement Educator

I'm Rock Hudson, a certified structural integration practitioner and movement educator based in Santa Cruz. I bring expert bodywork and movement coaching directly to clients across the Bay Area, including San Francisco.

My approach combines hands-on fascia work with personalized movement education. Rather than treating symptoms, I look at how your whole body moves and find the root patterns causing pain, stiffness, or limitation.

Whether you're a tech worker dealing with desk posture, a weekend warrior nursing an injury, or someone who wants to move and feel better as you age, I create a personalized plan that fits your body and your life.

Why San Francisco Clients Choose Mobile Sessions

San Francisco is the Bay Area's biggest metro center, and the demands it places on your body are unique. Tech workers in SOMA and the Financial District spend ten or more hours a day hunched over laptops, then navigate steep hills on foot just to get home. The city's famous grades — Filbert, Jones, 22nd Street — load your calves, hips, and low back in ways flat-terrain residents never experience. A mobile session at your apartment or co-working space means you don't have to add another cross-town commute to an already packed day.

The fog and marine layer that roll through the Sunset and Richmond districts create a cool, damp climate that many residents say makes their joints feel stiffer. Runners who log miles along the Golden Gate Bridge or through Golden Gate Park's trails often develop compensatory patterns from the constant wind resistance and uneven terrain. Startup founders and venture-capital professionals carry enormous mental stress that settles into locked shoulders and shallow breathing. I see these patterns repeatedly in my San Francisco clients, and addressing them in your own environment — where you sit, sleep, and work — produces faster, longer-lasting results.

San Francisco's density also means parking is a headache and gym space is at a premium. With mobile sessions, there's no circling for a spot in the Mission or fighting traffic on Van Ness. I bring everything needed — table, tools, and expertise — directly to your Marina flat, Pacific Heights home, or Dogpatch loft. Many of my SF clients stack a structural integration session with a movement-education follow-up, turning their living room into a private studio for the afternoon.
