MovNat Level 2 Certified Trainer

Natural movement for real-world strength and capability

What is MovNat?

MovNat (Natural Movement) is a physical education system based on how humans evolved to move. Walking, running, jumping, balancing, crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, throwing, catching, swimming, and defending. These are the movement patterns humans developed over millions of years.

Modern fitness focuses on isolated muscles and machine-based exercises. MovNat focuses on integrated, practical movements that build real-world capability. You're not just strong in the gym. You're capable in life.

MovNat Level 2 certification means I can teach complex, challenging natural movement skills safely and progressively.

The MovNat Movement Categories

Ground Movement

Getting up and down from the ground efficiently. Crawling patterns. Rolling. Ground mobility. These foundational skills improve hip and shoulder function and build practical strength.

Locomotive Skills

Walking with efficiency and awareness. Running mechanics. Jumping and landing. Balancing on narrow surfaces, unstable surfaces, and height. Movement in varied terrain. These build coordination and confidence.

Manipulative Skills

Lifting objects from the ground. Carrying in various positions (front, side, overhead, uneven loads). Throwing and catching. These build practical, transferable strength.

Combative Skills

Striking and defending movements. Not martial arts training, but understanding how to generate and absorb force. This develops power, coordination, and body awareness.

Climbing and Hanging

Hanging from bars. Traversing. Climbing over obstacles. These build grip strength, upper body pulling strength, and problem-solving movement skills.

Why Natural Movement Matters

Real-World Capability

You're not training for a bench press max. You're training to be capable in life. Picking up your kid. Carrying groceries. Hiking uneven trails. Getting up from the floor easily. Playing with your dog. MovNat builds practical strength.

Full-Body Integration

Natural movements use your whole body as an integrated system. You're not isolating muscles. You're training movement patterns that require coordination, balance, and strength working together.

Movement Quality

MovNat emphasizes efficiency, adaptability, and mindfulness. You're not just doing movements. You're learning to move well, with awareness and control. Quality over quantity.

Scalable for Everyone

Whether you're deconditioned or highly trained, MovNat scales to your level. The same movement pattern can be made easier or harder based on your capabilities. This makes it accessible and progressively challenging.

Fun and Engaging

MovNat training doesn't feel like "exercise." It feels like play, exploration, and skill development. You're learning to move, not just grinding through reps. This makes it sustainable.

What MovNat Level 2 Means

MovNat has three levels of trainer certification (Level 1, 2, 3). Level 2 is the advanced coaching level.

Deep understanding: I don't just know how to do the movements. I understand the biomechanics, progressions, regressions, and how to teach them effectively.

Complex movement skills: Level 2 includes advanced skills like complex jumps, challenging balancing, loaded carries with obstacles, and high-level ground movement flows.

Programming capability: I can design progressive MovNat programs that safely challenge you and build real capability over time.

Outdoor and varied environments: Level 2 training includes working in natural environments (not just gyms), adapting to terrain, and teaching environmental adaptability.

How MovNat Integrates with My Approach

MovNat complements the rest of my training methods:

With Structural Integration: MovNat movements require good mobility and structural balance. Structural work creates the capacity for better movement. MovNat trains the patterns. Together, they build capable, resilient bodies.

With traditional strength training: MovNat isn't a replacement for strength training. It's a complement. Strength training builds capacity. MovNat applies that capacity to practical movement skills.

With corrective exercise: MovNat naturally addresses many movement dysfunctions because it requires full-body coordination and control. Combined with targeted corrective work, it's extremely effective.
