Your movement holds your story.
Hands-on structural work and intelligent movement coaching, delivered as one practice. Most clients benefit from both, programmed in an order that makes the change hold.
This work is deliberately narrow.
- + You are serious about your body the way you are serious about other things that matter
- + You have chronic pain, old injury patterns, or mobility limits you want addressed at the source
- + You are an athlete, active professional, or retiree planning for the long view
- + You want a practitioner who will read your structure and program your training, not just one or the other
- — You are in acute injury requiring medical clearance (I will refer you well)
- — You want a passive fix without participation between sessions
- — You are looking for a spa service or a one-time massage
- — You are not ready to commit to the process change requires
If you are unsure, a twenty-minute consultation is the cleanest way to find out. I will tell you plainly if you are the right match and refer you well if you are not.
Structural Integration.
Hands-on fascial work that releases restrictions in your connective tissue, the web that connects every part of your body. When one part is stuck, the rest compensates. This work releases the restriction and teaches your body a better option to move into.
Most clients feel a meaningful shift in one to three sessions. Lasting change usually needs six to twelve sessions with light between-session practice. It is not a quick fix. It is change that holds because your movement changes.
- + Relief from nagging tension and stuck spots
- + Better posture and easier breathing
- + Stronger, smoother movement in daily life and training
- + Structural re-reads to stay honest
- Whole-system assessment
- Hands-on fascial release
- Movement cues during session
- Micro-practice handoff
Movement Education.
One-on-one training focused on how you move, not just what exercises you do. We work on fundamental movement patterns that improve everything you do, from your sport to picking up groceries.
Most personal training focuses on the muscle you want bigger. I focus on the system underneath, the patterns that either carry you for the next four decades or accelerate the wear and tear.
- + Restore natural movement patterns
- + Reduce pain from compensation
- + Improve performance in sport and life
- + Injury prevention and movement problem-solving
- Efficient breathing and core integration
- Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry
- Balance and proprioception
- Strength for life, not for the gym
What clients say, in their own words.
“I'm a physical therapist. I absolutely recommend his work. The amount of training he has is leagues beyond what people think a personal trainer has.”
“Rock is an encyclopedia of anatomy knowledge with deep intuition on how to help people move through their physical challenges. The strength and comfort I've developed has exceeded my expectations.”
“Rock's manual therapy found and addressed tension I wasn't even aware was affecting my structure. He offered expert movement insight that lets me continue the work in my daily practice.”
First session, ongoing work, maintenance.
First Session
We assess where you are, what you want, and what is getting in the way. I will explain what I see and recommend a plan.
Ongoing Work
Most clients see significant changes in five to ten sessions. We work at your pace, focusing on what matters most.
Maintenance
Once you are moving well, monthly or quarterly tune-ups keep you there. You will have tools to maintain the work yourself.
Three common ways in.
The Reset
SI plus movement to clear the biggest roadblocks.
The Hip Series
Unstick hips and low back. Restore stride.
Full Repatterning
Complete SI series plus movement habit change.
Most clients see the best results combining both.
Start with a twenty-minute consultation. I will listen, ask a few questions, and recommend the program that actually fits.
