• Appointment options. 30-minute session: $75 (normally $100). 60-minute session: $135 (normally $180).
• Who this is for. Anyone with scars from knee replacement, hip replacement, shoulder surgery, or other joint procedures.
• Slots available. 6 to 8 appointments per event day.

What to expect.

Joint replacement scars cross the joint itself, which means the scar tissue directly affects how far the joint can move. Every degree of flexion, extension, or rotation that scar adhesions restrict is a degree you cannot use. Physical therapy builds strength and works on range of motion through exercise, but it cannot change the scar tissue that is limiting that range. That is where ScarWork comes in.

During your session, I release the adhesions between the surface scar and the deeper structures, including the fascia, the joint capsule, and the retinaculum (the bands that hold tendons in place). Many clients gain noticeable range of motion during the session itself. Knee replacement clients often gain several degrees of flexion. Hip replacement clients often notice improved rotation and easier gait.

ScarWork works beautifully alongside physical therapy. Releasing the scar tissue allows PT exercises to be more effective because the tissue is no longer mechanically blocking the movement your PT is trying to restore.

• You had a knee replacement and feel stiff or limited
• You had a hip replacement and cannot cross your legs or rotate fully
• You had shoulder surgery and have restricted arm movement
• Your rehab has plateaued and you are not gaining more range
• You feel like the scar is "stuck" to the structures underneath
• You are 10+ weeks post-surgery and cleared for manual therapy
