Meet Rock Hudson

Rock Hudson - Structural Integration Practitioner and Movement Educator

I'm Rock Hudson, a certified structural integration practitioner and movement educator based in Santa Cruz. I bring expert bodywork and movement coaching directly to clients across the Bay Area, including Redwood City.

My approach combines hands-on fascia work with personalized movement education. Rather than treating symptoms, I look at how your whole body moves and find the root patterns causing pain, stiffness, or limitation.

Whether you're a tech worker dealing with desk posture, a weekend warrior nursing an injury, or someone who wants to move and feel better as you age, I create a personalized plan that fits your body and your life.

Why Redwood City Clients Choose Mobile Sessions

Redwood City proudly claims "Climate Best by Government Test," and that sunny, warm microclimate draws an active population that hikes Edgewood Park, bikes along the Bay Trail, and fills the weekend farmers markets downtown. But the same warmth that makes outdoor activity appealing can also mask overuse injuries — you feel good enough to keep pushing until a hip, knee, or shoulder finally protests. Many of my Redwood City clients come to me after months of ignoring a nagging issue that escalated. Mobile sessions let us start addressing the problem immediately, right in your living room, without adding another errand to your already packed schedule.

The downtown revitalization along Broadway and Main Street has turned Redwood City into a vibrant Peninsula hub, but it has also concentrated a massive tech workforce in the area. Oracle's headquarters and a constellation of smaller companies fill the office parks along the 101 corridor, producing a population of engineers, product managers, and designers who sit in ergonomically questionable setups for eight to ten hours a day. I bring my table and assessment tools directly to homes in Redwood Shores, Woodside Plaza, Stambaugh-Heller, and the neighborhoods around Sequoia High School, so the transition from work mode to recovery mode is seamless.

Redwood City's diverse neighborhoods — from the established homes near Veterans Memorial Park to the newer developments along the waterfront — mean my clients span a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and movement needs. Some are young families where a parent's back gave out lifting a toddler. Others are retirees who want to maintain independence and keep walking to their favorite café on Broadway. The mobile format means I meet each person where they are, both literally and figuratively, and can tailor every session to the specific physical environment they live in.
