Structural integration for lacrosse

Stick-side chain, hip rotation, spiral line

A stick-side shoulder that has lost overhead. Hip rotation that no longer matches side to side. A spiral line bound from a decade of one-sided sport. A spiral fascial pattern built from a decade of one-sided sport. That is the work.

The off-season window

College: June through August, before fall ball starts. PLL: late September through January. The pro and college calendars do not overlap. Twelve sessions over eight to twelve weeks, then preseason on a reorganized structure.

What is actually restricting you

  • Dominant-side spiral line. Years of stick-side shots, cradles, and turns bind the spiral line on one side. T-spine rotation caps. Shot velocity and reach both pay.
  • Shoulder and arm lines. Throwing volume shortens the deep front arm line and pec minor. The shoulder loses overhead and the cuff carries load it should not.
  • Hip rotation and lateral chain. Cuts and dodges depend on hip rotation. Years of one-sided sport leave one hip with more internal rotation than the other. Lateral cuts get expensive.

My stick-side shoulder is wrecked. Cuff or chain?

Almost always chain. The deep front arm line, lat, and pec minor get shortened by thousands of shots and passes. The cuff is the last thing to give. Free the chain and the shoulder stops being the visible problem.

I am a defender, not a finisher. Why would I need this?

Defenders rely on hip mobility, lateral cuts, and stick-side rotation. Years of one-sided stick work build asymmetry through the spiral line and the rotators. Reorganizing the chain restores the symmetry and the lateral range that defense demands.

When in the calendar should I do this?

Pro and college off-season is June through September. Twelve sessions over eight to twelve weeks, then summer-fall preseason on a reorganized structure.

Will this interfere with my off-season lifting program?

No. Most lacrosse athletes lift through the series. We time deeper sessions away from your hardest lifts and conditioning sessions.
